The Langston Hughes Family Museum takes you on a stroll through the life of a family that produced greatness. Each exhibition piece preserved in its original state, tells a story. Showcasing over 175 individual items, dating back to the mid-1800s, inclusive of original photographs, personal belongings, household items, crystal glassware, silver utensils, and period clothing used by various Hughes Family members.

The Hughes Family Still Lives through photographic imagery and personal family heirlooms dating back some 150 years.

With eyes wide open, we look to continue this legacy through the 21st Century and beyond. The Langston Hughes Family Museum is not only dedicated to the legacy of
the Hughes Family but to the legacy of American History which is brought to life through the artifacts displayed.
